QotD and Belated Holidailies...
Which are your favorite sites for shopping online?
i'm always a big fan of Amazon. 9 times out of 10, it IS the cheapest place online, at least in my experience. i'm also usually glad to find that almost everything i've wanted to purchase has been offered there, either by Amazon itself or by an associate seller or shop. So, it generally works out well.
i've also become a fan of Etsy lately. It's a really neat place that i've only recently really discovered that easily allows crafty types to sell handmade goods online. Virtually everything is one-of-a-kind, and the one purchase i've made via Etsy so far was pretty successful. One of my resolutions in the coming new year is to make time to be more crafty and do something hands-on creative, so seeing all the stuff people sell is pretty inspiring and fills my head with ideas for artistic endeavors.
Now on to the belated Holidailies prompts... God, i suck at keeping up, but... it IS a busy time of year, after all. Falling behind is bound to happen now and then, and i'd rather it happen at home than at work.
#7: How is this December different from last year?
Though i'm a lot more stressed out, i know i'm in a better place now. i've become far more independent, which is a good feeling at the end of the day. i have a job that i enjoy most of the time - even though its stressful, even though i constantly feel overwhelmed, even though i'm not getting paid what i probably deserve... and so forth. i'm in a much healthier relationship than i was last year. And of course, there's Wonka... Overall, life isn't perfect by a long shot, and although the changes have been exceedingly hard sometimes, they were all for the best in the end.
#8: Write your own version of those holiday newsletters that people send to friends and relatives at this time of year.
.... Ugh.
What an odd prompt. I suppose this year, the best experience of this kind was getting rid of the Cavalier and upgrading to the Jeep. i had a lot of memories with the Deerkiller but as much as i drive now, it was time to let go. Thankfully, i love the Jeep, and i'm amazed at how often it comes in handy. It's going to make buying a ladder and a Christmas tree today much easier, that's for sure.#9: Your best experience getting rid of something.
