Holidailies 4, 5, and 6
Jeez. i just can't keep up. i blame work, which makes being on a computer now a lot less fun. i can't even remember the last time i logged into WoW, even though i just paid $70 to keep my subscription for 6 more months. =/
#4: What childhood activity do you miss? What childhood activities have you refused to give up?
First, i refuse to give up on our family tradition of throwing balled up wrapping paper around like idiots. We've done it for as long as i remember, and i'm sure it will continue for years to come. i can't really think of anything that i miss, though. Christmas hasn't really changed all that much since i was a kid, except that now i have to worry about what to buy people and getting my holiday lights/tree/decor extravaganza going.
#5: Your favorite holiday lights.
i absolutely LOVE my penguin. It's got a ton of plastic crystals that do a great job of reflecting and bouncing light, making it look like there's three times as many lights on it. It's small, but it's just so pretty. i'm a big fan of light-up penguins in general. i propose they become used on more than just Christmas.
#6: What are your ideas for the Holidailies Charity Project, and which organization would you choose?
It's not literacy-related at all, but i'm inspired by the wonderful doggy sitting behind me. i would choose any shelter organization (Humane Society, SPCA, etc.), or, more specifically, pit bull rescues because that's where i got my angel. There are dozens to choose from, working so hard to restore the pit bull's reputation, and to educate the public on FACTS about these dogs, not hype. i strongly encourage everyone to support these kinds of organizations. Adopt from shelters and rescues, donate your time or pet supplies, do whatever you can. This is going to be one of my new year's resolutions, as well, so it's something i've had on my mind a lot lately.
